Mechanism

A chemically modified analog of Selank, a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin. N-acetylation and C-amidation are intended to improve stability. Selank is proposed to act as an anxiolytic/nootropic via modulation of GABAergic and monoaminergic signaling and effects on BDNF and enkephalin metabolism.

uncertain / limited human pharmacokinetic data; native Selank is short-acting, and the modified analog's PK has not been characterized in peer-reviewed human studies.
