PEG-MGF

PEG-MGF is a PEGylated form of the MGF E-peptide, the PEG chain slowing its clearance to extend time in circulation and action on muscle satellite cells. Mechanism

A PEGylated (polyethylene-glycol-conjugated) version of the MGF E-peptide; the PEG moiety slows renal clearance and proteolysis, extending circulation time while the peptide is intended to act on muscle satellite cells as with MGF.

Half-life

PEGylation is reported to extend the half-life from minutes (native MGF) to several hours; precise human values are not well established. It is a PEGylated peptide.

Regulatory status

Not FDA-approved. Sold as a research chemical / for laboratory use only. Falls under IGF-1-related substances prohibited by WADA.

Safety

Same theoretical growth-signaling concerns as MGF/IGF-1, plus limited data on long-term effects of repeated PEGylated-peptide exposure. Research-grade purity is a practical concern.
